iron man... the demise ???
Disaster struck this project. after detecting what seemed to be some type of mold I decided not to cover it with plastic on top of the wet towel. the result... the wet towel dried out a whole lot faster which end in disaster.
see for youself:
I'm afraid this will be the end of iron man, or at least in this form. BUT, I recently bought a styrofoam head, which will be the next starting point for this. it think I'll start from a plaster base now. So that at least the proportions are correct from the start.

base of mutation... paint job
ok so, here's an update on the base. started painting, not really sure where to go from here. any advice or tips would be greatly apreciated. I'm thinking of adding some bloody colors on the base and using a glossy varnish on the critter to get that - i just got all my skin ripped off - kinda feel.
here are the pic's in different lighting:

the base of mutation
and here's the base. I'm thinking of adding some skulls and stuff. probably will paint it and add some flocking for moss.
and here's the baked result. an unexpected result, the clay kind of bubbled and got burned (I forgot it was fimo in stead of super sculpey). but I kinda like how it turned out. a happy coïncidince...

Iron man... mark 3.2?
here's another update. I spent another couple of hours refining the left side. I also started to mirror it over to the right. Yes, I know it's not even close to symmetrical..yet. I am slowly starting to lose hope that it will ever be a 100% or even a 90% likeness of the mark 3 helmet hence the new name: MARK 3.2 . that way if it isn't all that close I can just blame it on the different version. No one will ever know I cheated muahahahaah. 3+))
anyway here are the new pic's:

the monster sculpt... smiley face
today I created a new head for the creature. it started with the thought of a head that's more mouth and eyes than anything else. I was thinking of adding a lot of long , thin, needle like teeth. kinda like in this picture, but a lot more of them:
It worked out differently and the result has kind of a comic style, but I liked it.
so without further ado, here's the pic's:
